The Museum of Contemporary Art in Freiburg is a forum for important artistic and social debates. Fundamental topics of our time are reflected in many changing exhibitions. Represented are works by prominent artists such as Otto Dix, Karl Hofer, August Macke and Paula Modersohn-Becker.

Architecturally redesigned by architect firm Preiß from Freiburg, the lighting design firm LiDEC from Horb is responsible for the entire lighting-related design process. As part of the exhibition lighting scheme, lighting designer Franz Ferdinand Herold, extensively relied on the Luxsystem SL 20.2 LED linear sytem.
